Serbian Ambassador to Slovenia Predrag Filipov has returned to Ljubljana, four months after he was recalled in protest against Slovenia's recognition of the independence of Kosovo, the Serbian Embassy confirmed on Monday.
The news comes after the Serbian government last week decided to send ambassadors back to all EU countries from which they had been recalled in the aftermath of the recognition of Kosovo's independence.
This is in line with the Serbian government's priorities of continuing the fight to keep Kosovo within Serbia's boundaries and to speed up EU integration, Serbian Environment Minister Oliver Dulic said last week.
Slovenia recognised Kosovo on 5 March, after a vote in the National Assembly. The former Serbian province has been recognised as an independent country by 43 countries so far, including 20 EU members.
