Brussels, 25 July
The European Commission allocated on Thursday some EUR 45m for the promotion of EU farming products. Slovenia will get around EUR 900,000 for two projects in net worth of EUR 1.7m.
The co-financed projects of EU countries aim at promoting organic and quality agricultural products, dairy products, meat, wine, fruit and vegetables, oil, flowers and products from the most remote parts of the union.
The supported Slovenian programmes will promote organic and dairy products. Apart from the two Slovenian projects, the EU will contribute half of the funds for 29 projects in 15 other EU members.
The EU started supporting promotion activities for farm products on its internal market in 2000.
