Sailing: Zbogar Wins Silver at European Championships

Vasilij Zbogar bagged silver at the Laser and Laser Radial European Championships in Newport, Belgium, on Saturday, after the organisers cancelled the last race because of strong wind.

Zbogar finished second in laser among European sailors, after Great Britain's Paul Goodison, and was third among all competitors, where Australia's Tom Slingsby took the first place.
Zbogar said that he was happy that he had managed to demonstrate very good sailing and topmost form in such a strong competition.
"This is a very strong motivation for the Olympics," said Zbogar, who won bronze at the Athens Olympic Games in 2004.
