May Industrial Output Up 1.2% Year-on-Year
Slovenia's industrial output increased 1.2% year-on-year in May but it dropped 1.5% over the month before, according to seasonally and working day-adjusted figures released by the Statistics Office on Thursday.
The output of the processing industry dropped 1.1% over the month before, with mining reducing the output by 6.8% and energy, gas and water supply industries by 1.1%.
On the annual comparison, industrial output was up 1.8% in manufacturing and 1.6% in energy, gas and water supply, while it was down 17.1% in mining.
Compared to the month before, industrial output increased by 3.4% in capital goods, while it decreased by 3.2% in intermediate goods and by 1.9% in consumer goods.
According to the office, the seasonally adjusted index of stocks of industrial products increased 1.1% over the month before and was up 9.7% year-on-year.
