Prime Minister Janez Jansa's visit to Japan concluded on 23 April after a three-day program that included meetings with the highest Japanese officials and the Summit EU-Japan. Climate change and cooperation in economy and trade topped the visit of the Slovenian Prime Minister, who held official talks with his Japanese counterpart Yasuo Fukuda and the Japanese Emperor Akihito. Prime Minister Jansa also held a working lunch with Keikichi Honda of Nippon Keidanren, the most important business association in Japan, and attended with Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak a business conference in Tokyo, where Minister Vizjak delivered the opening address. The fight against climate change dominated the agenda of the EU-Japan Summit Meeting, held in Tokyo on 23 April. The EU and Japan confirmed their commitment to fighting climate change and announced they would work together to find a fair and effective global mechanism to replace the Kyoto Protocol after 2012. More » Perutnina Ptuj, Slovenia's largest poultry producer, officially opened a new factory in the town of Breza near Sarajevo on Wednesday. The new factory is one of the largest greenfield investments in Bosnia-Herzegovina and concludes the company's 20m investment cycle in the country.
