International Festival to Showcase Folklore

Several towns around Slovenia are to host performances by folklore groups from around Europe as part of this year's running of the SloFolk festival. The project, organised by folklore groups from the Dolenjsko and Posavje regions, will run from 29 April through 4 May.

According to the organisers, the SloFolk festival will host folklore groups from Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Spain.
The performances of the visiting dance groups and their hosts will be on display in several towns in SE Slovenia: on Wednesday in Novo mesto, on Thursday in in Sentvid pri Sticni, on Friday in Smartno pri Litiji, and on Saturday in Artice.
On Saturday, the groups will also perform in front of the Brezice municipality building at 11 AM, and visit the Posavje Regional Museum.
