TUESDAY, 22 April
BRATISLAVA, Slovakia - President Danilo Tuerk is to pay an official visit to Slovakia.
STRASBOURG, France - European Affairs State Secretary Janez Lenarcic is to take part in a Conference of Chairs of the European Parliament's Committees. Transport Minister Radovan Zerjav is to attend the plenary session of the European Parliament.
LJUBLJANA - Deputies are to discuss, at second reading, amendments to the penal code, which introduce life imprisonment as a punishment for the gravest crimes, and a registry of paedophiles, as the National Assembly continues the April session.
LJUBLJANA - European experts on superbugs, bacteria with wide antibiotic resistance, are to hold a meeting.

WEDNESDAY, 23 April
STRASBOURG, France - President Danilo Tuerk is to pay an official visit to the European Parliament. He is scheduled to addressed the MEPs at their plenary.
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Janez Jansa and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso are to head the EU delegation to the EU-Japan summit.
STRASBOURG, France - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is due to brief the European Parliament on the talks between the EU troika for justice and home affairs and US representatives held in March over visa policy. Environment Minister Janez Podobnik is also expected to address the European Parliament.
LJUBLJANA - MPs are to debate amendments to the courts act are aimed at speeding up court proceedings and reducing the backlog of pending cases and a motion subsidising meals for secondary school students as the April session of the National Assembly continues.
VIPAVA - The Slovenian-Italian Standing Committee on Water Management is to meet.
RADENCI - Education Minister Milan Zver is to take part in an annual meeting of school principals.
LJUBLJANA - The Economic and Social Council, which associates the social partners, is to meet.
LJUBLJANA - An exhibition of the works of Slovenian impressionists in 1890-1920 is to be opened at the National Gallery.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - The city of Maribor, the Slovenian candidate for European Capital of Culture in 2012, is to present its bid.
LONDON, UK - The Royal Society will launch an exhibition on the 320nd anniversary of the membership of Slovenian polymath Janez Vajkard Valvasor. On the occasion, the Royal Society will hand copies of the original correspondence between Valvasor and the Royal Society to the Slovenian Embassy.

THURSDAY, 24 APRIL
ST. PETERSBURG, Russia - The EU justice and home affairs troika is to meet Russian officials. The EU delegation will be headed by the presiding EU home affairs minister, Dragutin Mate.
LJUBLJANA - President Danilo Tuerk will address the National Assembly to discuss issues related to the Constitutional Court.
BRDO PRI KRANJU - A two-day international conference on youth employment "Jobs for Youth - Prosperity for All" is to get underway.
LJUBLJANA - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to receive outgoing Russian Defence Attache Vladimir Bobkov for a farewell visit. Erjavec is also scheduled to received the incoming Russian attache, Lieutenant Vladimir Kornenkov.

FRIDAY, 25 April
LJUBLJANA - On the last day of the April sitting of the National Assembly, MPs will debate amendments to the notary service act and to the local elections act, while they will also pose questions to Prime Minister Jansa.
LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to convene for its weekly session.
VIENNA, Austria - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to deliver a lecture on cooperation between the UN and EU in tackling modern-day challenges.
BRDO PRI KRANJU - A press conference is to be held after the close of the "Jobs for Youth - Prosperity for All" conference.
LJUBLJANA - A two-day conference "Europe After Lisbon: The Intertwining of Competitiveness and Sustainable Development" is to get underway.
LJUBLJANA - The Week of Egyptian Film from 1947-2006 is to be launched as part of the Egypt in Ljubljana Festival.

SATURDAY, 26 April
OBERAMMERGAU, Germany - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to visit the Marshall European Centre for Defence and Security Studies.

SUNDAY, 27 April
LJUBLJANA - Slovenia is to observe Resistance Day, a national holiday.
BRDO PRI KRANJU - A three-day international conference on solidarity between the generations and social cohesion is to get underway.
BRDO PRI KRANJU - A four-day informal meeting of environment attaches is to get underway.
