The management boards of the Slovenian and Bosnian telecoms incumbents confirmed their intent to cooperate in technology and services as they met in Ljubljana on Thursday.
Talks between executives of Telekom Slovenije and BH Telecom also touched on the planned privatisation of the Bosnian telco, which is expected this year. Telekom Slovenije is looking to participate in the tender, CEO Bojan Dremelj told the press.
"Telekom Slovenije is closely monitoring the situation regarding the bid for the sale of the state-owned stake in BH Telecom. If the tender conditions are acceptable, we will submit our bid," Dremelj said.
The privatisation model has not yet been disclosed, and it has to be confirmed by the parliament of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, one of the two entities in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The acting director-general of BH Telecom Nedzad Residbegovic said privatisation would bring significant changes to the company. "Regardless of the ownership structure, we remain open to good ideas, cooperation, new opportunities and synergies with other operators and business partners."
