Snowboarding: Petek Takes Third Place in Big Air Overall

Milan, 14 March

Slovenian freestyle snowboarder Matevz Petek finished fourth in the final Big Air World Cup event of the season in Valmalenzo on Friday, which was enough to secure him third place finish in the overall Big Air rankings for this season.

The title of the overall Big Air World Cup winner went to Austria's Stefan Gimpl this year, whereas Janne Korpi finished second.
It is the fourth consecutive year for Petek among the world's top three big air snowboarders. He was second overall in 2007 and 2005 and third in 2006. The 24-year-old managed two podium finishes this season.
