TUESDAY, 18 March
CAIRO, Egypt - Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to meet his Egyptian counterpart Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak as he begins a three-day tour of the Middle East as the president of EU's foreign ministers.
LJUBLJANA - President Danilo Tuerk is to receive his Macedonian counterpart Branko Crvenkovski.
LJUBLJANA - Samuel Schmid, the head of the Swiss Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sports is to visit Slovenia on invitation by Defence Minister Karl Erjavec.
LJUBLJANA - Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Janez Podobnik is to present the activities of the ministry six months after the September floods.
LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian subsidiary of the UniCredit Bank is to unveil its results for 2007 and plans for 2008.
LJUBLJANA - The Hellenic Exchanges Group, one of the bidders for a strategic partnership with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, is to present itself at a news conference.
LJUBLJANA - A news conference is to be held ahead of the 10th International Festival of Documentary Film.

WEDNESDAY, 19 March
RAMALLAH, West Bank - Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to meet Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Al-Maliki, President Mahmoud Abbas, Prime Minister Salam Fayyad, UNRWA commissioner Karen Abu Zayd and UN General Assembly Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Robert H. Serry. Rupel is also scheduled to meet Israeli opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu.
BLED - A statement for the press will be given after the close of a conference on police cooperation in education and training for the Western Balkans.
RASICA - The honorary committee for the celebrations of the 500th anniversary of the birth of Primoz Trubar (1508-1586), a seminal Slovenian literary figure is to meet. The session will also be attended by President Danilo Tuerk.
RADECE - Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak is to attend the opening of the Vrhovo solar power plant and Vrhovo small-scale hydroelectric plant.
LJUBLJANA - The 60 years of the Slovenian weather service will be marked by a ceremony, also attended by Environment Minister Janez Podobnik.
LJUBLJANA - A round table debate on the global competitive ability of the Slovenian economy, also to be participated at by Development Minister Ziga Turk.

THURSDAY, 20 March
JERUSALEM, Israel - Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to hold talks with Israeli President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Foreign Minister Tzipora Livni on the final day of his Middle East tour as the chair of the EU foreign ministers.
LJUBLJANA - Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is expected for a one-day visit to Ljubljana.
LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to hold a regular session.
LJUBLJANA - Parliament's Public Office and Elections Commission is to debate the four Constitutional Court judge nominees, recently put forward by President Danilo Tuerk.

FRIDAY, 21 March
BELTINCI - Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Janez Podobnik is to sign a letter of intent on the construction of a regional distribution centre.

SATURDAY, 22 March
No major events are scheduled.

SUNDAY, 23 March
LJUBLJANA - Easter will be celebrated throughout the country.
