PM Jansa receives the President of the European Parliament Socialist Group

Ljubljana, 15 February

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia and President of the European Council, Janez Janša, today received the leader of the Socialist Group in the European Parliament, Mr Martin Schulz.

Jansa and Schulz focused on topical international issues. In their talks, special attention was devoted to relations between the European Union and the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. They also exchanged views on the future of the European Union, with PES Group President Schulz expressing his support for the implementation of the priorities of Slovenia’s EU Council Presidency.
