Planned Cross-Border Web Portal to Aid Entrepreneurs
Some 27,000 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from the border areas of Slovenia, Italy and Croatia are to be listed on a new web portal by the end of the year as part of a cross-border project involving Slovenia, Italy and Croatia.
The EUR 238,000 Adriatic Network for Integrated Services (ANIS) project was unveiled on Monday in Vrtojba. It will include around 15,000 Italian, 10,000 Croatian and 2,000 Slovenian companies from the border regions of Veneto (Italy), Istria (Croatia) and Northern Primorsko (Slovenia).
Crtomir Spacapan, the head of the Regional Development Agency of Northern Primorsko, said the aim would be to include other regions as well.
"This is an important project that will enable contacts between Slovenian and Italian companies...It will expand the network of potential partners for cross-border European projects, where it is impossible to succeed without partnerships," Spacapan added.
The ANIS project is headed by the association of small and medium enterprises of eastern Veneto (Veneto Confartiganiato San Dona' di Piave), the technological park Primorski tehnoloski park and the Regional development agency of Northern Primorsko.
The aim of the project is to create a virtual network of SMEs in the border area and upgrade the existing web portal of organisations and companies from Veneto and the Croatian part of Istria, said Veneto Confartiganiato San Dona' di Piave's Maurizio Mancini.
