TUESDAY, 29 January
LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to take a vote on the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty.
LJUBLJANA - Environment Minister Janez Podobnik is to address a press conference to discuss EU presidency priorities related to the environment.
LJUBLJANA - Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen is to pay a two-day visit.
LJUBLJANA - Valery Giscard d'Estaing, a former French president and head of the convention that drafted the ill-fated constitutional treaty of the EU, is to pay a visit.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to discuss priorities for the Slovenian EU presidency at the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Agriculture Minister Iztok Jarc is to present Slovenian presidency priorities at the European Parliament's Committee on Agriculture.

THE HAGUE, Netherlands - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to meet Dutch Minister for European Affairs Frans Timmermans and present priorities for the Slovenian EU presidency at the Institute of International Relations Clingendael.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Economy Ministry State Secretary Tomaz Jersic is to address a meeting of energy ministers from the Western Balkans as part of the EU Sustainable Energy Week.
CANNES, France - Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti is to open Slovenian day at the Midem 2008 music fair.

WEDNESDAY, 30 January
STRASBOURG, France - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to appear before the Council of Europe (CoE) Committee of Ministers' Deputies and meet CoE Secretary General Terry Davis.
BRDO - A ministerial conference on gender equality begins.
LJUBLJANA - A meeting of Relex Counsellors, a body in charge of examining institutional, legal and financial aspects of proposals made within the common and foreign security policy.
LJUBLJANA - Deputy Director of the Government Office for European Affairs Gregor Krajc is to be on hand for a panel discussing EU challenges during the Slovenian presidency.
LJUBLJANA - Public Administration State Secretary Roman Rep is to receive Kosovo Minister for Public Services Arsim Bajrami.
HONOLULU, Hawaii - An Environment Ministry delegation is to take part in the Major Economies Meeting.

THURSDAY, 31 January
BRDO - A two-day informal meeting of EU ministers of employment, social affairs and gender equality is to get under way.
LJUBLJANA - UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Louise Arbour is to pay a visit.
MARIBOR - A two-day informal meeting of the group on competition and growth at the level of directors general and attaches begins.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is to take part in an annual debate on the area of freedom, security and justice.
SKOPJE, Macedonia - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to visit Macedonia.

FRIDAY, 1 February
CRNOMELJ - President Danilo Tuerk is to meet his Croatian counterpart Stipe Mesic on the sidelines of the ceremony marking the 15th anniversary of the Slovenian-Croatian Friendship Group.
BRDO - Day two of the informal meeting EU ministers of employment, social affairs and gender equality.
SKOPJE, Macedonia - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to visit Macedonia.

SATURDAY, 2 February
PTUJ/LJUBLJANA - Shrovetide festivities are set to begin across Slovenia, with most of the biggest carnivals scheduled for Sunday

SUNDAY, 3 February
LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian contestant for the Eurovision Song Contest is to be selected.
