Factory-gate prices were up 0.2% in December compared to the month before, while the annual growth was 3.4%, the national Statistics Office said on Monday.
The prices of export products were up 0.3% at the monthly level, on the domestic market prices increased by 0.1%. Prices of export products increased by 0.6% in the non-euro area and 0.2% in the eurozone.
Prices rose in particular in the manufacture of metals (0.6%) and metal products except machinery and equipment (0.5%).
Prices decreased the most in the manufacture of television and radio sets and equipment and manufacture of medical, precision and optical instruments (-1.4%).
In 2007, the growth of output prices, which includes changes in the prices of products sold on the domestic market and those sold on the non-domestic market, amounted to 3.4%.
The annual growth of factory-gate prices on the domestic market was 6.3% and on the non-domestic market 0.6%.
In 2007, the prices rose above average in several activities, but most noticeably in electricity supply (20.4%), forestry (12.7%) and manufacture of food, beverages and animal feeds (9.9%).
In comparison to the year before, the biggest decrease in prices was recorded in the manufacture of office machinery and computers (-18.1%).
