Today the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Janez Jansa, met the High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy and Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union, Javier Solana.
The PM and his guest discussed foreign policy issues included in the agenda of Slovenia's EU Presidency, and exchanged views on summits between the EU and third countries due in the first part of 2008. They also focused on the situation in the Western Balkans, agreeing that there was a need for member states to adopt a uniform approach regarding Kosovo's future status, and highlighting the importance of conclusions drawn at the December European Council.
