TUESDAY, 30 October
LJUBLJANA - The National Council is to convene a session to debate a motion to veto the act on the organisation and financing of schools that introduces full state financing of private schools.
LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to convene for its weekly session.
LJUBLJANA - The Statistics Office is to present the monthly inflation data as well as preliminary data on agricultural production.
LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to conclude the October session with votes on the changes to the forests act and the game and hunting act.
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - Environment Minister Janez Podobnik is to take part in a meeting of EU environment ministers.
BEIJING, China - Economy Ministry State Secretary Tomaz Jersic is to take part in a two-day meeting of ministers from the EU and Asia responsible for small and medium-sized enterprises.
LJUBLJANA - The central national ceremony to mark Reformation Day, 31 October, is to be held.
LJUBLJANA - PM Janez Jansa is to lay wreathes at the memorials to the victims of the independence war, the memorial to the fallen fighters of the National Liberation Struggle and at the Linden Tree of Reconciliation ahead of All Saints' Day.
LJUBLJANA - A round table is to be staged on the modern-day perception of the works by architect Joze Plecnik.

WEDNESDAY, 31 October
LJUBLJANA - Reformation Day, a bank holiday.
KOCEVSKI ROG - Public Administration Minister Gregor Virant is to lay a wreath at a monument to victims of post-WWII summary killings.

THURSDAY, 1 November
LJUBLJANA - All Saints' Day, a bank holiday, is to be marked with masses and wreath-laying ceremonies around the country.

FRIDAY, 2 October
SOFIA, Bulgaria - Agriculture Ministry State Secretary Branka Tome is to take part in a ministerial conference on food safety organised by the Central European Initiative.

SATURDAY, 3 October
No major events are scheduled.

SUNDAY, 4 October
POSTOJNA - A ceremony is to be held to mark the 32 millionth visitor to the world-famous Postojna Caves.
