TUESDAY, 25 September
NEW YORK, US - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to attend the opening of the UN General Assembly general debate. To follow are bilateral meetings and a reception hosted by US President George W. Bush and his spouse Laura.
MOSCOW, Russia - National Council President Janez Susnik is to begin an official visit to Russia; until 27 September.
LJUBLJANA - Public Administration Minister Gregor Virant is to take part in a meeting of the Stability Pact for SE Europe Business Advisory Council.
LJUBLJANA - Swedish European Affairs Minister Cecilia Malmstroem is to visit Slovenia upon the invitation of European Affairs State Secretary Janez Lenarcic.
LJUBLJANA - The Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia (ZSSS) is to speak to the press about its demands for higher wages.

NEW YORK, US - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to meet on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly Serbian President Boris Tadic and Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic, as well as Montenegrin Prime Minister Zeljko Sturanovic.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Slovenia's Iztok Jarc is to attend a meeting of EU Agriculture Ministers; until 27 September.
LJUBLJANA - Session of the Economic and Social Council, the industrial relations forum.
LJUBLJANA - Development Minister Ziga Turk is to attend a meeting of the Stability Pact for SE Europe Business Advisory Council.

NEW YORK, US - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to address the UN General Assembly. He is also to meet the UN secretary general Ban Ki Moon, whereas Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to take part in the EU's meeting with Russia.
LJUBLJANA - Regular weekly session of the government.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - A two-day meeting of EU ministers responsible for competitiveness is to get underway.
LISBON, Portugal - Transport Minister Radovan Zerjav, his Portuguese counterpart Mario Lino and the European Commissioner in charge of Transport Jacques Barrot are to come together in a preparatory meeting ahead of the Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council (TTE).
LJUBLJANA - A Canadian parliamentary delegation headed by Senator Senator Lorna Milne is to be received by the deputy director of the Government Office for European Affairs Gregor Krajc.

FRIDAY, 28 September
WASHINGTON, US - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to attend the opening of the renovated Slovenian embassy in the US.
EVORA, Portugal - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to begin his attendance in a two-day informal meeting of EU defence ministers.
LJUBLJANA - Panel on the modernisation of Europe as part of a revision of the Lisbon Strategy during Slovenia's EU presidency.

SATURDAY, 29 September
BUDAPEST, Hungary - Environment Ministry State Secretary Mitja Bricelj is to attend a panel held as part of the Technology Foresight Summit.
LJUBLJANA - Congress of the Grey Panthers, an organisation bringing together senior members of the opposition Liberal Democrats (LSD).
PORTOROZ - Autumn sessions of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe; through 1 October.
VELENJE - Labour, the Family and Social Affairs Minister Marjeta Cotman is to address a ceremony marking the International Day of Deaf people.
VESZPREM, Hungary - Slovenian handball champions Celje Pivovarna Lasko are to take on Hungary's Veszprem in the first round of the Champions League.
