Cooperation between the port of Koper and Polish North Sea ports, and an extension of the 6th trans-European transport corridor to Slovenia, topped the agenda as Transport Minister Janez Bozic held talks on Tuesday with his Polish counterpart Jerzy Polaczek.
The meeting was very important for the launch of concrete projects, especially in the light of Slovenia's EU presidency in the first half of next year, Bozic told the press after the meeting.
According to him, Slovenia would organise an informal meeting of EU transport ministers during its presidency, at which it would push for the continuation of current transport projects.
While Bozic presented Slovenia's transport infrastructure plans, Polaczek outlined in particular mid-term transport projects in Poland. Polaczek underlined the importance of the Baltic-Adriatic corridor, saying that Slovenia played a key role due to its geographical position.
