The Slovenian Tourist Board (STO) is participating in the three-day International Trade Fair for Coach Travel and Tourism, which opened in Cologne on Tuesday, with a presentation featuring Slovenian cities.
According to the STO, Slovenia is presenting itself as an adventure-packed destination for groups of tourists travelling by coach. Slovenia's capital city Ljubljana and other Slovenian cities feature prominently in the Slovenian presentation.
The STO headlines a display by 21 Slovenian exhibitors over an area of 170 sq. metres at the fair in the German city.
As part of the Slovenian display at the show, the STO is to hold a press conference on Wednesday to outline trends in the Slovenian tourism sector in the first half of 2007.
The press conference will also be a chance for Slovenian tourism officials to speak about the possibilities for an adventure-packed stay in Slovenia, with special emphasis given on cultural events in Slovenian cities.
Ljubljana is to be showcased as as a starting point for round and theme trips around Slovenia, the STO added.
The Cologne show will feature around 1,200 exhibitors from 36 countries.
