Slovenia has established diplomatic relations with the African Republic of Burundi. The documents to that effect were exchanged in New York on Friday between Slovenian Ambassador to the UN Sanja Stiglic and her Burundi counterpart Joseph Ntakirutimana.
On the occasion the pair discussed ways to boost bilateral cooperation in culture, sports and business. While Stiglic introduced Slovenia and its upcoming stint as EU president, Ntakirutimana underscored his country's role in the efforts to resolve the crisis in Somalia.
