Last week, several Slovenian companies published their Q1 results, most of them posting fair increases in profit.
Home appliance manufacturer Gorenje generated EUR 313.33m in consolidated sales revenues in the first three months of 2007, up 35.7% over the same period last year, while the group's net profit increased by 19% to EUR 4.4m.
Chemicals-through-tourism conglomerate Sava reported EUR 40.8m in net sales revenues in Q1, up 16% on the same period last year, while its net profit increased by 50% to EUR 6m.
Logistics group Intereuropa posted a 10.9% rise in net revenues, which stood at EUR 58m. The group made a net profit of EUR 22.4m in the period, beating forecasts by 8.7%.
The group around Mercator, Slovenia's leading retailer, posted net sales of EUR 537m for the first quarter of 2007, up 23% year-on-year. Net profit increased by 2.4% to EUR 8.1m.
Port operator Luka Koper generated operating revenues of EUR 28.7m in Q1, up 14% compared to the same period last year.
Telekom Slovenije increased net sales revenues by 5% year-on-year to EUR 183.7m in the first quarter of this year, while net profit was down 8% to EUR 22.9m.
