TUESDAY, 22 May
VELENJE - PM Janez Jansa, along with several ministers, is to visit home-appliance group Gorenje on the eve of the cabinet's working visit to the Savinjsko-saleska region.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary Commission for Intelligence and Security Service Oversight is to discuss the bill on parliamentary oversight of intelligence services proposed by the group of unaffiliated MPs.
LJUBLJANA - Health Minister Andrej Brucan is to host his Hungarian counterpart Agnes Horvath for a working visit.
LJUBLJANA - The Foreign Ministry is to hold an open day to celebrate Slovenian Diplomacy Day.
LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to meet the political director at the Norwegian Foreign Ministry Kai Aide.

WEDNESDAY, 23 May
VELENJE - The cabinet is to pay a working visit to the Savinjsko-saleska region.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary Budget Oversight Commission is to be in session discussing possible misuse of public funds in the construction of the Children's Hospital in Ljubljana.
LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce and Ljubljana's Faculty of Economics are to organise a strategic conference on the development of the retail sector in the country.
LJUBLJANA - Amnesty International Slovenia is to present its annual report on human rights violation around the world in 2006.
LJUBLJANA - The five finalists for the Kresnik Prize for the best novel, given out by newspaper publisher Delo, are to be announced.
STANJEL - The project "Celebrating Centenary of Lojze Spacal" is to be presented at a press conference.
MARIBOR - The congress of wine-makers and oenologists "Slovenian Vine and Wine in the EU", which is to take place between 15 and 16 November, is to be presented to the press.

THURSDAY, 24 May
LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to hold its weekly session.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Education Minister Milan Zver and Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti are to attend a two-day meeting of the EU Education, Youth and Culture Council.
LEIPZIG, Germany - Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Janez Podobnik is to take part in a two-day unofficial meeting of EU ministers responsible for spatial planning.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary inquiry commission into the purchase of Patria armoured personnel carriers is to meet.
BLED - A two-day session of the regional UNWTO commission for Europe is to be opened by Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak.
PORTOROZ - The Slovenian days of political sciences are to begin, focusing on the future of the EU. The event runs until Saturday.
LJUBLJANA - The Desetnica award for youth literature is to be conferred by the Slovenian Writer's Association.
LJUBLJANA - Annual awards are to be conferred by the Slovenian Association of Ballet Artists.

FRIDAY, 25 May
BRATISLAVA, Slovakia - National Council President Janez Susnik is to represent Slovenia at a two-day meeting of parliamentary presidents from the EU.
WARSAW, Poland - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is to attend a two-day meeting of interior ministers from EU member states awaiting entry into the Schengen zone.
LJUBLJANA - The Russian-Slovenian government commission for trade and scientific cooperation is to be in session.
