Petkovsek Takes Gold at Gymnastics Event

Maribor, 15 April

Slovenian gymnast Mitja Petkovsek outclassed his competitors on the beam at the Salamun Memorial gymnastics tournament in Maribor on Sunday.

Petkovsek bagged gold with a score of 15.775, ahead of Spain's Andreu Vivo (15.150), while Adam Kierzkowski of Poland and Filip Ude of Croatia settled for bronze with a score of 15.050.
The 30-year-old Petkovsek reigned supreme in what was his first appearance after injury kept him from competing for almost a year.
