LIMA, Peru - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to begin a two-day working visit to Peru as part of his tour of Latin America.
BERLIN, Germany - Labour, the Family and social Affairs Minister Marjeta Cotman is to take part in a two-day European Congress entitled "Demographic Change as Opportunity: The Economic Potential of the Elderly".
BERLIN, Germany - Health Ministry State Secretary Dorijan Marusic is to attend a three-day eHealth 2007 conference, entitled "From Strategies to Applications".
LJUBLJANA - The Programming Council of public broadcaster RTV Slovenija is to be in session.
LJUBLJANA - A panel on the EU and its enlargement to the Western Balkans is to see the participation of Jacques Rupnik, research director of the French Centre for International Studies and Research (CERI).
LJUBLJANA - A stock exchange evening is to be organised by the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the Polish Embassy.

WEDNESDAY, 18 April
LJUBLJANA - Moldova's Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev is to pay a working visit to Slovenia at invitation of his Slovenian opposite number Janez Jansa.
VATICAN, Vatican - Ljubljana Archbishop and Metropolitan Alojz Uran is to celebrate a holy mass in St. Peter's Basilica and attend an audience with Pope Benedict XVI, whereupon he will also congratulate the pope on his 80th birthday.
LJUBLJANA - A joint session of the parliamentary committees for EU affairs and labour, the family and social affairs will discuss the implementation of the Lisbon Strategy in Slovenia.
PRAGA, Czech Republic - Speaker of Parliament France Cukjati is to take part in the eighth conference of representatives of parliaments from Slovenia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
LJUBLJANA - The Ice Hockey Division I World Championships is to continue with Lithuania playing Japan, Romania competing against Hungary and Slovenia playing Great Britain.
LJUBLJANA - The first edition of the Slovenian issue of Reader's Digest will be marked by an exhibition of pictures by Adrian Janezic and a news conference on the magazine's future plans.

THURSDAY, 19 April
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to attend a two-day ministerial of the EU and the Rio Group.
LJUBLJANA - The government is to hold its weekly session.
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - EU interior and justice ministers are to hold a two-day meeting with Slovenian Justice Minister Lovro Sturm and Interior Minister Dragutin Mate expected to take part.
AACHEN, Germany - A two-day informal meeting of EU health ministers is to be attended by Slovenia's Andrej Brucan.
LJUBLJANA - A two-day international conference on equality in employment is to be organised by the Labour, the Family and Social Affairs Ministry, the Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia and the Association of Employers.
LJUBLJANA - A two-day International conference "Education for Energy: A Challenge for Schools" is to be organised by the Slovenian E-Forum and the European partners of the FEEDU project.
LJUBLJANA - Another day of competition at the Ice Hockey Division I World Championships is to see Lithuania playing Romania, Hungary taking on Great Britain and Slovenia facing Japan.
LJUBLJANA - The Slovene Writers' Association is to hold a news conference to present the 12th annual Book Days.

FRIDAY, 20 April
BERLIN, Germany - EU finance ministers are to hold an informal two-day meeting, attended also by Slovenia's Andrej Bajuk.
LJUBLJANA - The Economic and Social Council, an industrial relations forum is to be in session.
LJUBLJANA - The college of deputy groups is to set the agenda for the April session of parliament which will begin on 23 April.
MURSKA SOBOTA - Agriculture, Forestry and Food Minister Iztok Jarc is to visit the Panvita food conglomerate and open house day at the Murska Sobota office of the Agriculture and Forestry Chamber.
SREDISCE OB DRAVI - Roman Rep, state secretary at the Public Administration Ministry, is to open the rebuilt international border crossing with Croatia.

SATURDAY, 21 April
LJUBLJANA - Marche, a Swiss catering company active in Slovenia, is to try and make it into the Guinness Book of Records by baking a 400-metre-long cake.
LJUBLJANA - The final day of the Ice Hockey Division I World Championships is to see Great Britain face Romania, Japan taking on Hungary and Slovenia playing against Lithuania.
BELGRADE, Serbia - The Ljubljana theatre house SNG Drama is to begin a tour of Serbia.
