Mankoc Bags Seventh Consecutive European Gold in 100m Medley

Helsinki, 10 December

Slovenia's top swimmer Peter Mankoc won gold in the men's 100m medley at the European Short-Course Swimming Championships in Helsinki on Sunday, his seventh consecutive victory in the event.

The gold is Mankoc's 20th medal from European and World championships and 15th medal from European Short-Course Swimming Championships.
Finishing in a time of 53.05 seconds Mankoc was followed by Vytautas Janusaitis of Lithuania (53.66) and Norwegian Aleksander Hetland (53.70).
Mankoc already won the silver medal in the 100-metre butterfly in Helsinki on Friday.
