Comprehensive Book on Plecnik Hits Shelves of Bookstores
Architects Andrej Hrausky and Janez Kozelj and art historian Damjan Prelovsek have joined forces for another book on Joze Plecnik (1872-1957), this time offering a truly comprehensive insight into the work of Slovenia's most renowned architect.
The latest Plecnik book, entitled "Joze Plecnik - Vienna, Prague, Ljubljana", presents in words and image 57 of Plecnik's works chosen from his entire oeuvre.
Previously the three authors collaborated in three other books on Plecnik, separately looking into his projects in Ljubljana, Slovenia and abroad.
The present book, published by Cankarjeva zalozba, is a kind of summary of the past three projects and targets a broad readership, according to the authors.
"Joze Plecnik - Vienna, Prague, Ljubljana" was also published in the English language version, the press was told in Ljubljana on Wednesday.
