Kosovo Prime Minister Agim Ceku held talks in Slovenia on Friday with Prime Minister Janez Jansa, Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel and Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak as part of his mini tour of European countries.
In talks with Jansa, Ceku outlined the efforts of the authorities to fulfill democratic standards, highlighting the importance of Kosovo status talks, according to a press release from the prime minister's office.
The future status of the province, which is striving for independence, also topped the agenda in talks with Minister Rupel.
Rupel and Ceku are reported as agreeing that countries in the Western Balkans should advance towards the EU and NATO, as this would stabilise the region and boost its development.
The meeting with the Economy Minister focused on business prospects in the region, with Ceku inviting Slovenian companies to invest in telecommunications and energy sectors in Kosovo.
Vizjak meanwhile presented Slovenia's experience in privatisation, the Economy Ministry said in a press release.
Ceku was also attending a business conference in Portoroz which was looking into the development of the financial and real sectors in developing countries, including Kosovo.
