TUESDAY, 10 October
LUXEMBURG - The EU Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) is to hold a meeting, attended also by Slovenian Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk.
LJUBLJANA - Jean Asselborn, Luxembourg's foreign affairs and immigration minister is to arrive for a working visit to Slovenia.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - State Secretary for European Affairs Janez Lenarcic is to meet the leader of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats (ALDE) Graham Watson and the vice-president of the Party of European Socialists (PES) Hannes Swoboda. He is also expected to meet Slovenian MEPs and Joseph Daul, the chair of the European Parliament's Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development.
LJUBLJANA - The Ljubljana-based International Trust Fund for Demining and Mine Victims Assistance (ITF) is to present the results of its activities until September, current activities and strategy until 2010.
LJUBLJANA - The Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) and Iskra Avtoelektrika, a maker of electrical components for the car industry, will hold a press conference prior to Iskra Avtoelektrika's floatation on the official market.
LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Science Foundation is to hold pa news conference, presenting the 12th Slovenian Festival of Science that is to take place between 17 and 19 October in Ljubljana.
LJUBLJANA - Health Insurance Institute (ZZZS) and the leadership of the national council for promotion of safe and correct use of medicinal products are to hold a news conference prior to the launch of a national campaign promoting safer use of such products.

WEDNESDAY, 11 October
LJUBLJANA - Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Janez Podobnik is to address the participants of a two-day international conference on climate change after 2012, organised by the German ECOLOGIC institute.
YEREVAN, Armenia - Justice Ministry State Secretary Robert Marolt is to take part in a two-day conference of justice ministers of the Council of Europe states, entitled "Victims: Place, Rights and Assistance".
LJUBLJANA - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec, the honorary president of the organising committee of the International Commission for Alpine Rescue (ICAR) conference is to present the 58th event that is to run in Kranjska gora (NW) until Sunday.

THURSDAY, 12 October
LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to meet at its regular weekly session.
LUXEMBURG - The EU Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council meeting is to be attended by Slovenian Transport Minister Janez Bozic.
LJUBLJANA - Hungarian Parliament Speaker Katalin Szili is to visit Slovenia, meeting with her Slovenian counterpart France Cukjati among other things.
PORTOROZ - The Days of Slovenian Law Experts, are to kick off, lasting through to Saturday.
LJUBLJANA - The first anniversary of the daily Le Monde Diplomatique's Slovenian edition will be marked by an art exhibition.
LJUBLJANA - The week of contemporary Finnish film is to start in Ljubljana.

FRIDAY, 13 October
MARIBOR - The 41st Borstnik Theatre Festival, the country's leading theatre festival, is to kick-off.
JESENICE - The week of life-long learning is to open on a national level.
