Celje, 22 September
Two contingents of Slovenian soldiers bid farewell in Celje on Friday before heading to Kosovo and Bosnia-Herzegovina respectively in the coming days to relieve their colleagues of their duties.
The troops serving in the EU-led Althea operation in Bosnia represent the 17th rotation of Slovenian soldiers in the country.
They will take over the duties of their predecessors in the national support element and the EUFOR command in Sarajevo, the Slovenian Armed Forces said in a press release.
A 14th rotation of Slovenian troops is meanwhile heading for Kosovo, which will raise the number of Slovenian soldiers in NATO's KFOR force there to almost 200.
The number of Slovenian soldiers in Kosovo would soar in February, when the army's 10th motorised battalion will take control of a designated area of the restive province.
