Terminal00 to Fill Slovenia's Capital with Balkan Spirit
Terminal00, international "balkanart" festival, organised by the Association for the Promotion of Visual Culture, will take place on various locations throughout the city of Ljubljana between 27 and 30 September.
In the second edition of the festival, young artist from the Balkans will present themselves in a number of free events - concerts, exhibitions, theatre and DJ performances, lectures and film screenings, the organisers said.
The visitors will have a chance to enjoy 55 events, reflecting the cultural identity of the Balkans that were selected out of more than 1,000 projects that applied. The festival will officially open on 28 September at the Slovene Ethnographic Museum.
The highlights of the festival will be the exhibitions "Art Food - Eat Art" by Serbian artist Marko Stojanovic and "Inside Four Walls" by Ahir Vranac of Bosnia-Herzegovina, and concerts of Serbian electro acoustic duo Jozzef & the Children, Croatian jazz trio Supermarket and Slovenian-Croatian band Bogunov.
Theatre performance "A Bus Station ... Disco Fantasy", numerous film screenings, reflecting the current frame of mind in the Balkans, and the lecture of Ivan Hrkas from Croatia "Sex. Fashion. Photography." followed by a discussion also deserve special visitors' attention, the organisers said.
