Slovenia's registered unemployment rate stood at 9.7% in June, up 0.1 percentage points over May, according to the Statistical Office. The registered unemployment rate for the first six months of this year averaged 10%.
As many as 88,941 unemployed persons were registered in June, while there were 87,111 jobless people in May. The statistics also show that 8% of men and 11.8% of women were registered as jobless in June.
Meanwhile, 827,390 people (464,562 men and 362,828 women) were employed in June, up 0,5% on May and 1.4% year-on-year.
Meanwhile, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) standards-based unemployment rate stood at 6.9% in the first quarter of 2006.
