Athletics: Four Slovenian Athletes Through to Semis

Four Slovenian track and field athletes made it to the semifinals on the first day of the 19th European Athletics Championships in Sweden's Gothenburg on Monday.

Two 800-metre runners are among the four: Jolanda Ceplak, the defending European Champion, and Brigita Lahgerholc.
Both women came in as second in their respective groups, with Ceplak posting a time of 2:01.8, while Langerholc finished in a time of 2:03.04.
The other two Slovenians are 100-metre sprinters, Matic Osovnikar and Jan Zumer. The former clocked a time of 10.37 seconds for second place in his group, while the latter finished fourth in his group (10.48 seconds).
