Slovenian Central Bank Raises Key Interest Rates
Ljubljana, 03 August
The Bank of Slovenia has followed the European Central Bank (ECB) in raising key interest rates in the country by 0.25 basis points. In line with Thursday's decision, the rate of 60-days tolar bills has been raised to 3.5%.
The lombard loan rate has been upped to 4.75%, while the overnight deposit rate has been increased to 2.5%, the Bank of Slovenia said in press release.
The change reflects the ECB's decision to raise the key eurozone interest rate by 0.25 basis points to 3% in a response to continuing inflationary pressures in the zone.
