The Bank of Slovenia has signed a contract with the company AB Line on the supply of 700,000 calculators to Slovenian households for tolar-euro conversions.
Slovenian households are to receive in the beginning of November the calculators and a leaflet with information about the adoption of the euro in Slovenia.
The Slovenian central bank was ready to pay one euro for each calculator at most, however, AB Line's price is 0.43 euro per piece.
In line with the contract that was signed on Wednesday, the company will deliver the calculators at the beginning of October.
The signing concluded months of complications related to the choice of the supplier: AB Line was picked after filing a complaint against the central bank's initial decision on the supplier.
