Changes to Act on Audit of Public Procurement Deferred

Ljubljana, 27 June

MPs decided at an extraordinary session of parliament to postpone voting on amendments to the Auditing of Public Procurement Procedures Act to a future session, as none of the amendments was endorsed by the budgetary and public finance control commission.

According to the amendments, an appeal by a bidder would not automatically halt the procurement procedure if this could jeopardise people's lives or health.
In such cases, it would be the government who decides, at the proposal of the contracting party, that an appeal does not halt the ongoing procurement procedure.
