State Secretary at the Education Ministry Magdalena Sverc, technical director at the national education institute Natalija Komljanc and the French Ambassador to Slovenia Dominique Gazuy signed on Wednesday an agreement on furthering the quality of French language lessons in Slovenian schools in 2006 and 2007.
According to the Education Ministry, the main goals of the tripartite agreement on mutual cooperation and support are an improvement in the quality of lessons as well an increase in the number of students taking French both as part of regular as well as supplemental primary and secondary school programmes.
All three sides expressed satisfaction over the fact that past cooperation has led to this operational agreement and stressed that this step could be a starting point for future joint projects.
