TUESDAY, 20 June
ROME, Italy - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to pay an official visit to Italy, where he is expected to meet his Italian counterpart Massimo D'Alema, as well as Umberto Ranieri, the chairman of the parliamentary foreign affairs commission.
TIRANA, Albania - Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak, accompanied by a strong business delegation, is to pay a working visit to Tirana, where he is to meet his Albanian counterpart Genc Ruli.
GENEVA, Switzerland - A Slovenian delegation is to attend a two-day international conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent.
LJUBLJANA - The new Dutch defence attache, Lieutenant Colonel Johan Wagner, is expected to visit the Defence Ministry.
LJUBLJANA - The Government Office for European Affairs is to stage a seminar on Slovenian EU presidency at the beginning of 2008.
LJUBLJANA - The national council for culture is to discuss the report on the implementation of the national culture programme for 2005.
LJUBLJANA - The council of the Pension and Disability Insurance Institute (ZPIZ) is to convene a session to discuss the proposed changes to the statute of the institute, and the 2006-2010 development programme.
LJUBLJANA - The Jozef Stefan Institute, Slovenia's largest research institute, is to host a two-day conference dubbed "Development of New Products".
LJUBLJANA - Sovre Award, the most prestigious national award for translation achievements, is to be conferred at an award ceremony.
LJUBLJANA - The 21th Slovenian Music Days, a traditional festival of contemporary classical music, is to begin with a concert by the Slovenian Philharmonics.

TRBOVLJE/HRASTNIK/ZAGORJE - The government is expected on a working visit in the western region of Zasavje.
LJUBLJANA - State Secretary for European Affairs Janez Lenarcic is to attend a working meeting of ambassadors of EU members, which is to focus on preparations on Slovenian EU presidency at the beginning of 2008.
LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Employers' Association is to stage an international conference on the financial participation of the employees.
LJUBLJANA - The Defence Ministry is to host a three-day annual meeting of Slovenia's military attaches.

THURSDAY, 22 June
GENEVA, Switzerland - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to attend the first session of the newly-established United Nations Human Rights Council (between 19 and 30 June).
LJUBLJANA - The government is to convene for its regular weekly session.
KOSOVO - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to visit members of Slovenian Armed Forces on a peace-keeping mission in Kosovo.
LJUBLJANA - The Public Health Institute is to present a report on drinking water in Slovenia in 2005.
PORTOROZ/PIRAN/NOVA GORICA - The second edition of the Festival of European Film is to get underway, with more than 30 films from 12 European countries to be featured until 30 June.
LJUBLJANA - "Un coeur de trop" (superfluous heart), the latest novel by Brina Svit, a Slovenian author living in Paris, honoured with one of the main awards of the French Academy, the "Maurice Genevoix" award, is to be presented at the Charles Nodier Institute.

LJUBLJANA - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to receive Slovenia's military attaches.
NOVO MESTO - A new section of the motorway in the southeastern region of Dolenjsko (Hrastje - Lesnica) is to be opened for traffic.
PTUJ - A central ceremony is to mark 120th anniversary of the Ptuj Tourism Association.
MARIBOR - The Lent festival to get under way.
LJUBLJANA - The Kresnik Award for best novel of the year to be conferred by newspaper publisher Delo.
VELENJE - The European Athletics Association (EAA) meet is to take place in Velenje.
SATURDAY, 24 June
LJUBLJANA - Central ceremony marking Slovenia's National Day on 25 June. The National Assembly is to hold a special session ahead of the ceremony.
RADOVLJICA - An international swimming meet is to take place in Radovljica.
BLED - The lakeside resort of Bled is to host an international rowing regatta.
SUNDAY, 25 June
SLOVENIA - Slovenia marks National Day, remembering the day when the documents enabling Slovenia to declare independence were passed in 1991.
MURSKA SOBOTA - The official declaration of the newly-established diocese of Murska Sobota, and the newly-appointed Bishop of Murska Sobota Marjan Turnsek.
