Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa and Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel opened the new Slovenian Embassy in Brussels on Friday, which is much bigger than the old one and which will allow the issuance of visas in line with Schengen standards.
"The new premises will allow us to carry out consular duties in line with the highest standards...the rent is cheaper by a third as well," Slovenian Ambassador Borut Trekman said on Friday.
The embassy in Belgium is not the only Slovenian representation office to Brussels, as the city also hosts the country's permanent mission to NATO and the EU.
