TUESDAY, 6 June
LJUBLJANA - A meeting of the core working group in charge of preparations for Slovenia's EU presidency.
LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) is to discuss preparations for the euro, among other items on the agenda.
LJUBLJANA - The head of the European Commission Representation in Slovenia Mihela Zupancic is to deliver a lecture entitled "Quo Vadis? The EU and the Future of Europe".
LJUBLJANA - Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti and his Portuguese counterpart Isabel Pires de Lima are to speak to the press.
LJUBLJANA - A conference on the safety of patients is to be organised by the Health Ministry, and followed by a news conference.
LJUBLJANA - A news conference upon the 10th anniversary of the student publisher Studentska zalozba.
STUDENICE - The Institute of Cultural Heritage is to speak to the press about the history of a former convent of Dominican nuns and present some new discoveries.
WEDNESDAY, 7 June
BRDO PRI KRANJU - A three-day conference on migration trends in the Mediterranean and how to control them is to be opened by FM Dimitrij Rupel.
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - The EU Council of Economic and Financial Affairs to meet, with Slovenian Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk to attend. He is also to attend the annual assembly of the EIB.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to attend a two-day meeting of his counterparts from NATO and the EAPS.
LJUBLJANA - A delegation of the Lithuanian parliamentary committee for national security and defence is to pay a visit to Slovenia.
PORTOROZ - Days of Public Law and Public Sector are to get under way; through 9 June.
LJUBLJANA - The collection of presentations "Writing Literary History - Selected Perspectives from Central Europe" by the Institute of Slovenian Literature and Literary Science to be launched.
LJUBLJANA - The Yugoslav Theatre is to play Shakespeare's "Hamlet", directed by Dusan Jovanovic, at the outset of its guest appearance at the Drama SNG National Theatre.
THURSDAY, 8 June
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - The EU Council of Transport, Telecommunications and Energy to meet for a two-day session, with Slovenian Transport Minister Janez Bozic and Minister of the Economy Andrej Vizjak to attend.
LJUBLJANA - German Minister of Transport, Telecommunications and Urban Planning Wolfgan Tiefensee to pay a working visit.
LJUBLJANA - The strategic council for foreign policy is to discuss strategic and geopolitical aspects of energy policy.
LJUBLJANA - The presidents of the Courts of Audits from Austria and Hungary, Josef Moser and Arpad Kovacz, are to visit Slovenia.
LJUBLJANA - Polish journalist and historian Adam Michnik is to speak about politics and the media and their ideal relationship as part of a Faculty of Arts seminar on tolerance.
LJUBLJANA - Mayor of Ljubljana Danica Simsic is to confer Zupancic Awards for outstanding achievements in arts and culture.
LJUBLJANA - The Yugoslav Theatre is to play Ugljesa Sajtinc's "Huddersfield", directed by Aleks Cizholm, at the Drama SNG National Theatre.

LJUBLJANA - Social partners are to resume talks on changes to the employment act.
LJUBLJANA - The annual meeting of the EU investment club specializing in long-term financing, to be opened by Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk.
LJUBLJANA - Environment Minister Janez Podobnik and several mayors are to sign an agreement to cooperate in the establishment of the Ljubljansko Barje marshes park.
PORTOROZ - Days of Slovenian Judiciary 2006 are to get under way, to be attended by Justice Minister Lovro Sturm; through 10 June.
LJUBLJANA - Atelje 212, the acclaimed Serbian theatre house, is to play "Deadly Motorcycling" by Aleksandar Popovic, directed by Egon Savin at the Drama SNG National Theatre.
SATURDAY, 10 June
SLOVENJ GRADEC - PM Janez Jansa is to be the key-note speaker at a ceremony organised by the associations of Slovenian independence war veterans to mark 15 years of Slovenian independence.
NOVO MESTO - A ceremony is to be held upon the establishment of a new diocese of Novo mesto and the appointment of its Bishop Andrej Glavan.
LJUBLJANA - Atelje 212, the acclaimed Serbian theatre house, is to play "The Great White Conspiracy" by Dimitrije Vojnov, directed by Milos Lilic at the Drama SNG National Theatre.
SUNDAY, 11 June
LJUBLJANA - Atelje 212, the acclaimed Serb theatre house, is to play "The Visitor" by Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, directed by Lilijana Todorovic at the Drama SNG National Theatre.
