Slovenia News 25 April 2006
Editorial
Reform was the word of the week last week, but in two quite different contexts: it was focal point of the six parties (four coalition and two opposition groupings) which signed the Development Pact, but also a rallying call for an estimated 10,000 students who gathered a day afterwards to decry some of the government's efforts to introduce reform measures in education.
In response, Higher Education Minister Jure Zupan said that he needs a clear list of demands by the students so that the ministry can discuss and evaluate them. It would be good if the students met and discussed their demands, Zupan added.
