The Award-winning "Uglasevanje" Premiered
"Uglasevanje" (Tuning), the latest film by the up-and-coming Slovenian director Igor Sterk, premiered in Ljubljana after its world premiere in Karlovy Vary in July 2005 and several screenings at other film festivals abroad.
Sterk's drama depicts the highs and lows of an intimate relationship between a couple in their late thirties who come to a standstill and start to question their future life together.
At the 8th Slovenian Film Festival in Portoroz in December, "Uglasevanje" bagged the biggest tally of Vesna awards.
It won Best Director Vesna (Igor Sterk), Best Actress (Natasa Burger), and Best Actor (Peter Musevski), as well as the Best Feature Award conferred by the Slovenian Association of Film Critics (FIPRESCI).
A month earlier the film won the Best Feature Award at the 54th Mannheim-Heidelberg Film Festival, which was the first international award for Sterk's "Uglasevanje".
Sterk's third feature came into life eleven years after his debut "Express, Express" (Gone with the Train) and four years after the film "Ljubljana".
The screenplay for "Uglasevanje", which was produced by the A.A.C. Productions, was written by Sterk and Sinisa Dragin, Ursa Loboda was responsible for the set and the photography director was Simon Tansek.
