TUESDAY, 10 January
LJUBLJANA - Parliament to begin a two-day extraordinary session to discuss the appointment of new members of the Programming Council of the national broadcaster RTV Slovenija, as well as take a re-vote on the amendments to the trade act and on the wine act. Both were vetoed last month by the National Council.
LJUBLJANA - Montenegro FM Miodrag Vlahovic to pay a working visit to Slovenia, hosted by his Slovenian counterpart Dimitrij Rupel.
LJUBLJANA - Press conference by the Institute for Macroeconomic Analysis and Development (IMAD), where IMAD's head Janez Sustersic is to comment on the economic situation in Slovenia in 2005.
LJUBLJANA - Press conference by the Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia (ZSSS) to highlight several findings of the Dublin-based European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions on the impact the restructuring of industry would have on the employment in the EU.

VIENNA, Austria - FM Dimitrij Rupel to take part in a two-day meeting of the OSCE ministerial troika, as Belgium takes over the chairmanship of the security organisation.

FRIDAY, 13 January
VIENNA, Austria - EU interior ministers to meet for a two-day informal meeting; a Slovenian delegation expected to take part.
KRSKO - Slovenian environmental NGOs to stage a panel on nuclear waste.
LJUBLJANA - A ceremony to be held to announce Slovenian Car of the Year chosen by newspaper readers and radio listeners.
