Skopje, 25 November

Health Minister Andrej Brucan said on Friday that Slovenia is ready to cooperate as a partner and donor in developing health services in SE Europe. His comments came at the 2nd Forum of Health Ministers from SE Europe that took place in Macedonia, the Health Ministry reported on Friday.

Brucan also met his Macedonian counterpart Vlado Dimov on the margins of the meeting, with talks revolving around health sector privatisation.
The ministers agreed that privatisation forms a central piece of reform processes in both countries, with Macedonia expected to introduce a 100% private service already as early as in 2006.
The Forum of Health Ministers is a successor to the Health Network for SE Europe, established in 2001. The forum fosters partnership projects in cooperation with the World Health Organisation, the Council of Europe and the Development Bank of the Council of Europe.
