TUESDAY, 25 October
GORIZIA, Italy - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to meet Mayor of Gorizia Vittorio Brancati, representatives of the Slovenian minority and the head of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, Riccardo Illy.
ATHENS, Greece - Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak it so attend a meeting of his counterparts from the EU and SE Europe, to sign an agreement on establishing a community on energy.
VIENNA, Austria - A meeting of presidents of parliament, to be attended by the president of the Slovenian upper chamber, Janez Susnik.
LJUBLJANA - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to meet Turkey's new residential defence attache to Slovenia, Colonel Kahraman Guunes.
LJUBLJANA - The presentation of the 8th Festival of Slovenian Film (FSF), that is to take place in Portoroz between 1 and 4 December.
NOVA GORICA - A celebration marking 50 years of the theatre in Nova Gorica.

WEDNESDAY, 26 October
VADUZ, Liechtenstein - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to start a two-day visit to Liechtenstein, attending the Liechtenstein Dialogue 2005 conference and holding bilateral talks with the country's representatives.
LJUBLJANA - The 14th anniversary of the departure of the last soldier of the Yugoslav People's Army from Slovenia.
MARIBOR - The 40th Borstnik Theatre Festival, the country's leading theatre festival, is to wrap up with the announcement of the winner of this year's Golden Borstnik Ring for lifetime achievement in acting.

THURSDAY, 27 October
LJUBLJANA - The start of a two-day visit by Macedonian Transport Minister Xhemail Mehazi and his delegation.
LJUBLJANA - A debate entitled "Bird Flu - Consequences for Europe" is to be staged by the Government's PR Office, Europa Center and the Institute for Strategic Studies.
NOVA GORICA - The launch of a two-day European Regional Economic Forum, to be hosted by the city of Nova Gorica and the Slovenian Business and Research Association from Brussels.
LONDON, the UK - A two-day regular half-yearly meeting of civil protection and disaster relief authorities, to be attended by a Slovenian delegation.
LJUBLJANA - A press conference to present this year's "Frankfurt after Frankfurt" book show, to take place between 3 and 8 November.
LJUBLJANA - The launch of the Slovenian translation of Samuel P. Huntington's controversial work "The Clash of Civilisations".

FRIDAY, 28 October
HAMPTON COURT/LONDON, the UK - EU leaders are to discuss globalisation challenges for Europe and the European budget framework 2007-2013 at an informal meeting. Slovenian PM Janez Jansa is expected to attend.
LJUBLJANA - A national ceremony marking Reformation Day, which will be celebrated on 31 October. Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti the keynote speaker.
LJUBLJANA - The Bank of Slovenia is to launch an international conference on achieving financial stability in small and developed economies.
VENICE, Italy - State secretary at the Transport Ministry Peter Verlic is to attend a meeting on the fifth pan-European transport route.
LJUBLJANA - The city is to celebrate 100 years since the erection of a monument commemorating the country's most acclaimed national poet, France Presern (1800-1849).
