TUESDAY, 11 October
LJUBLJANA - Finnish President Tarja Halonen is expected to begin a two-day visit to Slovenia. She is to meet her host President Janez Drnovsek, Prime Minister Janez Jansa and Parliament Speaker France Cukjati.
LJUBLJANA - Vice-President of the European Commission Loyola de Palacio is to visit Slovenia. She is to meet Transport Minister Janez Bozic to discuss the fifth-pan-European transport route, focusing on the railway between Koper and Divaca.
BUDAPEST, Hungary - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to take part in a meeting of the regional partnership ministers and Western Balkan countries.
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - State Secretary at the Economics Ministry Andrijana Starina Kosem is to represent Slovenia at a meeting of EU economics ministers.
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - The newly-appointed State Secretary at the Finance Ministry Ziga Lavric is to take part in a regular monthly session of EU finance ministers.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Local Government and Regional Policy Minister Ivan Zagar and Environment Minister Janez Podobnik are to participate in a EU ministerial conference on financing growth and cohesion in the enlarged EU.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary budget and public finance oversight commission, and the parliamentary petitions, human rights and equal opportunities commission are to be in session.
LJUBLJANA - Human Rights Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek is to talk to the press about his annual report.
LJUBLJANA - Organisers of the Festival Brezice Group are to stage a press conference at the conclusion of this traditional early music festival.
LJUBLJANA - A programme of this year's 40th Borstnik Theatre Festival is to be presented to the press.

WEDNESDAY, 12 October
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - Justice Minister Lovro Sturm is to represent Slovenia at a meeting of EU justice ministers.
LJUBLJANA - The government is to visit the north-western Gorenjsko region.
LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's representatives at the Frankfurt Book Fair are to be presented to the press.
BREZICE - Organisers of the Festival Brezice Group are to stage a press conference at the conclusion of this traditional early music festival.

THURSDAY, 13 October
LJUBLJANA - Swedish Foreign Minister Laila Frievalds is to visit Slovenia, where she will be received by her Slovenian host and counterpart Dimitrij Rupel and President Janez Drnovsek.
LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to hold its weekly session.

FRIDAY, 14 October
ZAGREB, Croatia - President Janez Drnovsek is to take part in a two-day meeting of the presidents of Central European countries.
LJUBLJANA - The Economic and Social Council is to hold a session, where PM Janez Jansa and the chair of the government reform committee Joze P. Damijan are to present the proposals for economic and social reforms.

SATURDAY, 15 October
LJUBLJANA - The largest opposition party, the Liberal Democrats (LDS), is to convene a congress to elect a new president.
MARIBOR - The 40th Borstnik Theatre Festival is to get underway.
