Logarska Valley Receives Environmental Protection Prize

The company Logarska dolina, responsible for the management and protection of the Alpine Logarska Valley, was awarded a EUR 25,000 prize at Thursday's conference of the International Commission for the Protection of the Alps (CIPRA) in Brig, Switzerland.

The competition, entitled The Future in the Alps, awarded eight projects, considered to be the best in the field of sustainable development and environmental protection in the Alps.
A total of EUR 160,000 were handed out, courtesy of the Swiss fund for environmental protection MAVA, CIPRA Slovenija said in a press release.
The company Logarska dolina is significantly contributing to the protection of the environment, the improvement of infrastructure and the furthering of sustainable economic development in the area of the Logarska Valley park and its surroundings, the press release also said.
The remaining five major prizes were awarded to projects from Austria (Salzburg, Tyrolia, Vorarlberg), Italy (South Tyrolia) and Switzerland (Graubuenden).
