Denmark showed interest in closer cooperation with Slovenia in the field of transport, with the transport giant Maersk wanting to cooperate in constructing the third pier of the Luka Koper port, Transport Minister Janez Bozic said.
Bozic, speaking after a meeting with his Danish counterpart Flemming Hansen in Copenhagen, said that the ministry is currently evaluating options on constructing the container terminal.
Representatives of the Maersk company visited Slovenia in the summer, establishing connections with Luka Koper and holding a meeting with Peter Verlic, state secretary at the Transport Ministry.
Bozic mentioned that Copenhagen Airport also showed interest in cooperating with the Ljubljana Airport.
The talks between the two ministers are to continue later today, with emphasis on public transport. Bozic is also scheduled to meet the representatives of the Maersk company.
