Govt Earmarks US$ 120,000 for Katrina Aid

Ljubljana, 8 September

Slovenia will send SIT 23m (US$ 120,000) worth of aid to the United States to help the victims of hurricane Katrina, the government decided on Thursday.

The aid includes cots and temporary shelters worth SIT 15m (USD 80,000) and 2,000 first aid kits worth almost SIT 7m (EUR 40,000), plus the costs of transportation.
