Piran, 31 August

Canvasses will be stamped in several cities and towns in Slovenia and Croatia to mark the beginning of Ex-tempore Piran 2005, a painter's event in which is celebrating its 40th anniversary.

In addition to the 40th international painters' ex-tempore, the event will include the 6th international ceramics ex-tempore and a painters workshop, Genius Loci Lera, which is being held for the second year.
The painters will be able to stamp the canvasses until 9 September and submit them to Piran's Mestna Galerija gallery, one of the coastal galleries organising the event.
The gallery will also play host to a press conference on 7 September, where the history of the event and its vision for the future will be presented.
Following the conference, the participants will move to the nearby Secovlje saltpans for the conclusion of the workshop Genius Loci Lera, which started on 29 August.
