Slovenia and Croatia signed Friday a protocol on cooperation in sport for the 2005-2009 period in a bid to extend ties in this field.
The protocol, which formalises several years of talks, was signed during a meeting in Zagreb between Slovenian Minister of Education and Sports Milan Zver and his Croatian counterpart Dragan Primorac. According to Zver, the countries are now expected to bolster what are already extensive ties in sports.

Meanwhile, the ministers also discussed education reforms planned in Croatia. Zver explained that certain measures being considered by Croatia could prove interesting for Slovenia as well
